Tucson, Arizona

We had sooo much fun in Arizona! Okay so it was last minute and we didn't really plan it, but it was the best thing we could of done. We piled the kids into the Yukon and down the road we went. We stopped in Santa Fe for the most amazing lunch and then it was off to Tucson. While in Tucson we went to the Sonora Desert Museum, Old Tucson, the Pima Air and Space Museum, U of A, and a Rockies Spring training game. Yes for only a four day trip we did a lot, but the kids were happy and we were even more happy! One of the best parts was it was 80 degrees there and we missed the big snowstorm here!

BON JOVI!

Yeah an adult night of fun with Bon Jovi, how can you go wrong! We enjoyed a wonderful night filled with dinner at Lime with Jason and Elise and then off to the concert. We had great seats and the music was amazing! We sang along to all the old tunes and were moved by his touching performance of Hallelujah. Its always nice to get out and have some "grown up" time on occasion and we finished the night off with Wanted Dead or Alive and Livin' on a Prayer, Whoa Oh Livin' on a Prayer! So much fun!

George Washington

Jack has been working very hard on his Famous Americans project the last three weeks. He was so excited because he was chosen to portray George Washington. Each second grade class had a Famous American and they had a speech they had to present at the presentation. Jack gathered numerous facts and made several props for the presentation. Dad and I were so proud of him for memorizing his lines and making such a wonderful presentation. His entire class did an amazing job on the unit and it was a lot of fun!

Where oh where has the time gone! It is hard for us to believe that our oldest is eight years old! Yes most of the time he wants be or acts like he is sixteen, but it is truly amazing how quickly the time has gone! Jack is amazing in every way and we are truly blessed to have him. He is such a sweet boy and he loves life to the fullest! The last eight years have flown by so we are going to make sure we take in every moment that we can and yes Mom will be there with her camera! You are a wonderful boy Jack and we look forward to the next years and all they will bring!

Disney Live

We had such a fun night at Disney Live. Lisa and I took the little ones, Samantha and Brody to see the live show. They loved dancing and singing will all the stars. Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy all were there. They watched in amazement as Cindrella danced and Woody and Buzz Lightyear helped out as well. It was fun to do something just for the little ones!

Gymnastics Night for the Girls

The "Big" girls have had season tickets to DU gymnastics now for eight years and it is something we look forward to doing. This year is neat because we get to include Samantha in the girls night and she is loving it! She gets so mesmorized by all the showmanship and she dances to all the music. At the end of the meet they always do the Cowboy Cha Cha and let all the kids come down to the floor. Samantha could not wait to bounce on the springy floor and she had a blast. This night was special because she got to meet and get an autograph from Olympic silver medalist Alicia Sacramone. She also picked out her favorite DU gymnast and got her picture taken with her. Samantha likes Brianna the best because they both have the same colored ponytail :0) At the end of the night Samantha asked, "Mommy when I grow up can I be a gymnast?" It made my heart melt to see her enjoying herself so much! Maybe one day we will be cheering her on at her gymnastics meet!

New Year's Eve

Happy New Years everyone! Man we can't believe it is 2010 already! Where has the time gone. We had a great year in 2009 and we are looking forward to an even better year! It is still very cold here in Colorado and there does not seem to be any change any time soon. The kiddos will be back to school soon and we can all get back on schedule. But before we can do all that we had to share in a little holiday cheer with our friends. Chris and I went and enjoyed the New Year with a group of friends with dinner at Miyama's and then back to the Brassells for some after dinner drinks :0) What a fun night! We haven't seen much of everyone since its been so cold, and we definitely made up for it. Now time to get back to the real world...
